Claire Peña, Gemologist

Claire is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area with over 30 years experience in all aspects of the jewelry business including design, manufacturing, sales, and appraisals. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a BA in Geology and also a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America. Claire has more than a decade 10 in the auction world as well as experience in the retail, estate buying and independent appraisals. She has a background in fine, designer, period and contemporary art jewelry. In addition to being an active member of the GIA Alumni Association, she has appeared on KRON TV and is a member of ASA, NAJA, and ASJH.
