Michaan’s March highlights range in estimations from $400 to $7,000, providing quality property to a myriad of collectors. The Jewelry Department often features a variety of quality stones and certified jadeite jade. Select Asian works of art have also been chosen for Michaan's monthly sales, with fine jade carvings, porcelains and scrolls often seen at auction. Commonly held among Fine Art offerings are paintings and sculpture. The Furniture & Decorative Arts section regularly includes period decor and furniture. Highlights for the month of March are found in an Art Deco diamond and sapphire brooch, a lot of four Asian metal hand warmers, an oil painting by Raymond Han titled "Yannis Nude #2" and an excellent edition of the novel "The Gospels of Henry the Lion." Also of great interest is an authentic World War II military ticker tape dated to August 14, 1945 that details the exact moment of Japan's surrender. In addition, Michaan's Coin & Stamp Department will present rare Imperial Russian and Soviet Union origin postal stationary.
