Tony Natsoulas Ceramic Sculpture

Roll over for video transcriptMichaan’s Fine Art Department will present this unique sculpture by Tony Natsoulas in the October estate auction.  The Sacramento based Natsoulas has been dubbed a "prankster in clay" for his large scale subjects such as this ceramic.  As a student at U.C. Davis, Natsoulas studied under figurative ceramic sculpture master Robert Arneson.  During his professional career, he received a prestigious nod by the Smithsonian as well, who declared him one of the top one hundred craft artists in the United States.  The Natsoulas ceramic will be auctioned as lot 499 at an estimate of $300-500. PROVENANCE: Purchased at the Rena Bransten Gallery in San Francisco in the 1980s.
