The best of all seasons is celebrated at Michaan's in November with “The Personification of Autumn,” an allegorical female portrait from the circle of Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Pre-Raphaelite painting has a huge and diverse following of passionate admirers, and many bids are expected for this wonderful work estimated at $50,000-$80,000. California artists Raimonds Staprans and Richard Diebenkorn are also featured. Ansel Adams' photograph of a San Francisco factory is estimated at $5,000-$7,000.
