Over 40 lots are offered from this estate, including signature pieces by legendary jewelers Van Cleef and Arpels, Bulgari, Cartier and Tiffany & Co. Many were worn on gala society occasions by the late Ms. Brookins of Belvedere, a longtime San Francisco Symphony benefactor and Board member. Her "Vannerie" flexible link necklace ($8,000-$12,000) was customized by Tiffany & Co. with scores of glittering diamonds added to the exclusive original design. Emerald eyes adorn the Van Cleef and Arpels lion’s head brooch (also $8,000-$12,000), set throughout with fine diamonds. Cartier’s jaw-dropping paisley diamond earrings are offered at $10,000-$15,000. Bulgari jewels include the three carat oval-cut sapphire ring accented by gorgeous baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds ($4,000-$6,000). Also highlighted in the November sale: Asian art, estate furniture such as the 18th Century George III secretary bookcase, art glass by Daum, and a set of seven Tiffany Studios favrile glass champagne flutes ($1,000-$1,500). Fine paintings include "Man with Cockerel" by Fernando Amorsolo ($25,000-$35,000). Photographs by Edward and Brett Weston will be offered, as will etchings by Picasso and Diebenkorn.
